I went under the care of Mr Kelly with an enlarged tonsil.
After having an MRI scan all was clear.
However the scan picked up a more sinister problem in my sphenoid, which Mr Kelly picked up on.
Further scans revealed I had a cancerous inverted papilloma in my right sphenoid.
Mr Kelly explained everything to me and referred me to the cancer team at LGI, where I had a successful operation to remove it.
Even when I left the care of Mr Kelly, I contacted him several times with various queries. He always came back to me and put me at ease.
I would recommend Mr Kelly to anyone, he is kind, caring yet very professional in his role.

Mr Kelly gave me excellent care. He took time and trouble to ensure that I fully understood what was wrong with me and my options. He took great care of me before, during and after my operation which I am happy to say was successful. I knew I was in safe hands.

Having been quite concerned about my sons hearing for a little while, I booked an appointment to see Mr Kelly at Spire, Leeds. He welcomed us in straight away when we arrived (he was very prompt) and listened to my concerns.
He checked my sons ears, and it was decided instantly to remove the wax that was lodged deep inside. He was so calm and made my little boy (and I) feel at ease. He showed my little boy what he would be doing so he wasn’t scared and described the process as like a little hoover and showed him on his hand beforehand. After he had removed the wax, he performed a small hearing test to ensure there was no hearing impairment.
Mr Kelly was so reassuring throughout the appointment and I was so grateful for that as I had been a bit anxious. I would most definitely recommend Mr Kelly for any treatment, and most definitely would not hesitate to return back.

Mr Kelly, with his knowledge, skills, and professionalism was able to sort my hearing problem, and literally improve my life. I would not hesitate to recommend him to any one.
He also has a great 'bed side manner ' which puts you at ease.

Gerard Kelly is a Consultant ENT surgeon in Leeds, he specialises in otology, neuro-otology and sinus surgery and treats both adults and children. He works in Leeds General Infirmary in NHS practice. He qualified in 1990 and became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1994. He trained in Glasgow, Edinburgh, London and Manchester. He became a consultant ENT and skull base surgeon in 2001, in Leeds.
In private practice her works in the Spire Hospital, Leeds and The Leeds Nuffield Hospital. He sees only private patients in the private sector (whereas some consultants see both NHS and private patients in private hospitals). He is a member of the council of the British Society of Otology (BSO, part of ENTUK) and runs the BSO balance course.
